Our Story
Writers of Oklahoma meets biweekly on Thursdays to embrace accountability, learn more about the craft of writing, and help group members start and finish their stories. Founded as The Yukon Writers’ Society in 2016, Writers of Oklahoma provides free meetings for its members in Yukon, Oklahoma at West Metro Community Church on Main Street.

Our goals are to:
• Attend biweekly workshops in Yukon
• Form an encouraging critique group
• Help group members start and finish their books and/or stories
• Create a tight-knit community of writers who want to publish their books
• Build a support team online when we aren't at workshops
• Embrace accountability through accountability partners
• Learn more about the craft of writing and apply it to our weekly writing goals
• Attend our own conferences on writing, marketing, and publishing
